We are diverging on this one. I plowed through more than I would have because of your praise. I got to 43% and that’s well more than I should have bothered with.

I don’t mind unlikable characters but these characters were big fat ZEROs. It wasn’t that I liked or disliked them, I just didn’t care about them. Nor did I really understand why they were so tightly bonded.

I tried, I really did. I put this aside while I read two other books, attempting to return to this a later. Sorry, but not going there a third time.

And the stroke thing hit home … having a good friend who had a debilitating stroke 7 years ago. It’s unbelievable how well Sharon recovered.

I love your review, and I’m thinking I need to stick with this one. You’ve made me want it to be great for me, so I’ll start back from the beginning, which was my favorite part so far. Maybe, I’m in a book hangover; I’ll give this one another go.
