Sorrow and Bliss did have some humor to it. I didn’t get depressed reading it or anything like that. I’m hoping that elusive “A” audiobook for me will be Malibu Rising. It’s narrated by Julia Whelan and I’ve purposely held off on reading the ARC just so I can listen to it. Hope all is going well for you!

Thanks for the list. The only one on there I haven’t either read or listened to was When My Time Comes, so I’ve taken note of that one. I feel like it’s been a rough year for audiobooks and me. I have an ARC of Malibu Rising, but have purposely not read it. Julia Whelan narrates the audiobook and I think I want to listen to that one. It just might be my elusive star!

Marin Ireland is perhaps my favorite narrative at the moment… especially after the Kevin Wilson novel. So I’ll likely listen to her on Good Company. Does Sorrow & Bliss have any kind of humor to it … or is it all gloom & drudgery?? The last two great audiobooks I liked were listened to in 2020: Leave the World Behind …. and Migrations …. but you probably have already done those. I enjoyed them. This year so far I haven’t found an “A” audio yet … keep looking.

Probably not since Nothing to See Here (Kevin Wilson). Stars of Alabama by Sean Dietrich was pretty good, as was The Daughters of Erietown by Connie Schultz, but so far this year, nothing has knocked my socks off! If you wants some recommendations for older audiobooks, I have a few posts here with some of my favorites. You’ve probably already read/listened to most of them, though!
