I'm not sure whether Anne Tyler is for me. I read Spool of Blue Thread and while I enjoyed her pen portraits of the various individuals I kept wondering what the point of the book really was.

So now I'm reading Redhead by the side of the Road - going fine so far but I hope it shifts up a gear soon

Thanks for the reviews of these. I'm especially looking forward to Groundskeeping. The struggling young writers genre ... is one I seem to fall into too. Sounds good.

I have the audio of Groundskeeping so I am now really looking forward to it. I hadn't heard of All My Rage but, may add it to my TBR as it sounds really good. I liked French Braid and thought Golden Couple was pretty good as well.

Two weeks in Scottsdale sounds marvelous! We're finally getting more sunny weather here, but it's not as warm as I would like. Coastal Oregon is never very warm, though, so I don't know why I'm not used to it at this point!

I got All My Rage from Libro.fm, too. Can't wait to get to it after reading your review. I hadn't considered Grounds Keeping, but I loving a well-written coming-of-age story, so I'll add this one to my list. I have a similar reaction to Anne Tyler's books, but this one appeals to me, so I'll get to it eventually.

So far, my favorite in March is Setting Free the Kites by Alex George. It will definitely be on my Top Ten list for 2022. (Reviewed here.)
