Need to Know was certainly a page turner (I was up until 2AM to finish). I found Vivian irritating initially but the story did grab me. I agree that her decisions weren’t what one might expect from a trained intelligence agent (even if she’s not in the field). Flawed, yes, but still an engrossing read. I’m between 3.25-3.50 on a 0-5 scale. (I was annoyed that the author never even attempted to explain what the husband’s job was. He seemed to make just enough, be able to work from home or leave when necessary and not have very good health insurance.)

I have American Radical on hold.

I’ve not read much nonfiction about spies because I find myself doubting whether or not we’ll really get the true story. I was intrigued by this title when I saw it on goodreads though, so perhaps I shouldn’t let that stop me. Nonfiction that reads like fiction is the best 🙂
