I’d love to go to Russia, I had St Petersburg on my list this week, but Moscow would be amazing to visit as well. I went to San Francisco about nine years ago on my first trip to the States and I loved it! New York I’ve also been to, about six years ago, but I would love to go back. Brazil I would also love to go to. Paris is AMAZING, one of my current WIPs is partially set there and I love it!

What an amazing list of destinations! I may not be very interested in Moscow but I would LOVE to live in that hotel with the gentleman from Moscow. Towles made it sound so fascinating. I also love your choices for Morocco and Hong Kong and the books- they were both so wonderful. Not many people know about The Diver’s Clothes, but I thought it was very intriguing- step out of your life and don’t look back.

This is such an interesting way to think about the books we read. I don’t tend to pay as much attention to where a book is set, but maybe I need to start seeking out books that take place in different locations!

I think I’m repeating myself but I LOVED The Diver’s Clothes Lie Empty. Unusual and atmospheric.

I’m interested in your comment that you preferred another of YK Lee’s over The Expatriates — which wasn’t one of my faves. I will check out The Piano Teacher.
