I listened to the audiobooks of both the Finkel book and the al-Sharif book — and both were great listens. I agree with you nonfiction books must be interesting & different from my own reality. You summed up the allure of these books well. Also neither of them were too dense or weighed down with endless factoids.

I like nonfiction that tells an incredible story or teaches me about something that I didn’t know about. I’m really looking forward to Code Girls – it’s an era of history that I love, yet I knew nothing about these women.
