I'll have to check out Amaryllis. I've read SO little nonfiction this year and would like to start fixing that. Stay well!

I didn't realize Lucy Barton was so short!! I may not have given it a try otherwise, but it'd be easy to get through a 200 page book. Adding it to my TBR!

I too often like short books though I rarely ever read in one sitting, ha. A couple sittings perhaps. I'm listening to the memoir (Life Undercover) now of Amaryllis Fox's of coming of age in the CIA ... which you might like. It's just 229 pages! It's interesting. I too liked News of the World which you mention. Miriam Toews also has a few short books that I'd like to read sometime. Cheers.

Fabulous post! New of the World and The Bird Tribunal have been in my TBR for too long. I'm so glad to know they are fast reads. It'll make it that much easier to work them in!

Sorry! I haven't come across many people who read I'm Thinking of Ending Things. That was a book that really grew on me. At first I didn't know what to think, but the longer I thought about it the better it got. It's nice to hear from someone else who enjoyed it.

It's impossible to get to all the great books out there, but shorter ones do make it a little easier!
