Blair Brown has such a fabulous voice! I’m sure it made for great listening. I appreciate your thoughts on this one and think we ended up in close to the same space. I may just have a higher tolerance for camp!

I like this era when the focus is a gritty WWII story, but the role of WWII in City of Girls was secondary. Still, much more to like than to not.

I’m not sure I’m the target audience for this one, but I do like Ms. Gilbert. Besides reading/watching Eat, Pray, Love I also viewed some in-depth online short film about her personal life, her home, her relationships. I don’t love that era for my reading but sometimes a good author can make anything enjoyable! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks for your honest review. Hopefully, sometime this year, I’ll do an audio and print combo as I think it’s 400++ pages. I like the premise.
