I'm sure you'll get a lot more reading done in the fall when things slow down and the weather turns. Right now, summer is my best reading time because I'm not working. I actually ended up reading 14 books in August! (I'd forgotten to put one in on Goodreads, plus squeezed two more in after writing this post.)

I think you'll really like The Other's Gold. It's a terrific female friendship story. (I always fall for those.)

This is a nice round-up on your reads. 11 books per month sure is a lot. I had a busy summer so have struggled lately with time but will read more come fall. But you'll be teaching now, so I know you'll miss your porch reading. I wish you well with your 7th graders!

I really enjoyed Rust & Stardust (I just looked at your post on it!), and have been looking to pick this one up. I'm glad it worked out well, as the premise didn't pull me in, your favorable review may move it up my stack a little faster.

I reserved Things You Save in a Fire on audio--glad to hear my instincts were probably right! I liked How to Walk Away on audio and her style seems to fit with exactly what I look for when I listen vs. read in print. Therese Plummer is also the narrator (as she was for How to Walk Away), and she's always a solid pick.
