I loved this book, and I was thinking along Ava’s lines through the entire book. I felt along the same lines as Ava in the end. I didn’t think about the old mystery connections. Great comparisons.

Interesting comparison to old-style mystery writers. I think I’ve only read 1 Agatha Christie novel (And Then There Were None), but I did love it at the time.

And – funny you mention The Expats b/c that’s been on my TBR list for ages and I keep not getting to it. Then I heard it mentioned on Tuesday on the What Should You Read Next? podcast and it piqued my interest again. I loved his second book, The Accident!
