It was definitely a hard book to read and I think that’s why I grew tired of the repetitive retellings of Ricky’s life and crimes.

I do enjoy some true crime and really like crime fiction in general so I think that’s why I liked this overall. I had the same questions about the grandfather and the family that you did and I wish the author would’ve answered those for us by the end .

But, I like crime fiction and the retellings of Rickey’s story didn’t bother me. I just felt the two stories didn’t go together very well at the beginning…it just felt clunky.

It’s funny..I haven’t seen much about this one since publication.
