I had quite a bit of dysfunction going on in my teen years, so I think that makes me partial to coming-of-age stories. I especially liked the adult connection in Marlena. I have S-Town on my list of things to get to, but finding enough listening time isn’t easy.

There are some things in their coming-of-age story to which I could easily relate, for good or bad, and I also love Cat’s perspective as an adult as she remembers these stories for us in the novel. It seems like this one is getting quite a bit of attention; I’m thrilled for the author!
