Maybe you should go for Little Deaths first. I tried Boxfish once but stopped the audio. I did read When God Was a Rabbit in 2013 and liked the first half but not the 2nd half which I thought was disjointed. here’s my review: https://www.thecuecard.com/books/when-god-was-a-rabbit/
