I just finished Maybe You Should Talk to Someone and enjoyed it enough, but felt it needed another BIG edit. I always find that so disappointing because I feel like the editor let the book down, not the author.

I'm glad to know that at least one of my trusted readers also didn't care for it.

Enjoy the time with your grandkids :)

Catch and Kill sounds like it would pair well with The Whisper Network for this week’s NonFicNov prompt.

Wishing you a great reading week

I'll be curious to hear if Catch & Kill by Ronan Farrow is a worthy read. I understand when life gets away & there is little reading time. No worries!

I have If Only I Could Tell You on my list, but it keeps getting bumped down in favor of library holds. A lot of them are kind of intense, so that might be good recovery reading around the holidays. Glad to know it seems to be a decent light read!

It’s not odd at all! I have liked many of her books but the era doesn’t really appeal to me either. I did read a bit about the controversy. I think I’ll return it to the library and maybe try it this summer when I have more reading time (I’m a teacher too). Enjoy your grandkids!

I'm happy to hear from someone else who didn't like Maybe...I was beginning to feel like the only one. Daisy Jones gave me a hangover twice this year, first in print and then on audio. I have my son listening to it now and he loves it, too. I'm a middle school math teacher, but don't think I could handle listening to a book about math! Have a great week.

This may sound odd, but I've never read Jojo Moyes before and hadn't really planned on reading The Giver of Stars because that era just doesn't usually appeal to me. Now with all the controversy around it, I'm not quite sure if that makes me more or less interested.
