It would have been even smaller in 1957, when Cape May is set. I’ve spent quite a few summers in the beach towns of MA and even though it’s not California, I’ve still enjoyed them very much.

I like to read on the back deck where all the sun is! The Cape May book looks a bit intriguing …. I once spent a weekend in Cape May but that was about 20 years or so ago. It was different than what us Calif girls are used to. It’s a small mid-Atlantic NJ kind of place but nice.

You know I’m not a fan of violence, but he draws you into this hillybilly grit world that is absorbing.

Wasn’t Normal People something? I still can’t believe she’s only 28. But maybe you have to be that young for those feelings to still be fresh…
