I think if you liked the writing and the characters in this one, you might really enjoy her previous book Another Brooklyn, which I also loved, but has more of a plot!

I’m glad to hear you felt similarly about Red at the Bone. Being my first Woodson book, I really have nothing to compare it to.

The writing is beautiful, but there really isn’t much of a story arc.

The writing was beautiful, and the narration of the audio was excellent but I didn’t find the story all that compelling or memorable.
