Even though we had the first cases here, WA has done a good job of acting and really slowed it down. Still our stay at home order just got extended through May.

I just found out a few days ago that they pushed Lalami’s book back until September, so I’ll hold off on that one. Let me know if you read The Knockout Queen. I’d be very curious to hear your thoughts.

Lionel Shriver often has sports in her novels (which I like) – have you noticed? It’s a bit too bad about Rufi Thorpe’s book but good about Lydia Millet’s. I still need to read Dear Fang after liking the TGofCDM (the Girls of Corona Del Mar) ha. But the premise of the recent Thorpe novel (knockout queen) didn’t overly lure me so I might pass on it.

Some non-contact businesses are being allowed to open if plans are in place for social distancing and checking employees health.
