It was a difficult book to read, but beautifully written. I believe the story is being told by the younger brother at a later time, when he is an adult, as some of the descriptions seem to be those that would not have been used by a 12 year-old boy. The epilogue is a little puzzling, and I’d like to hear the opinions of other readers in this regard.
