Damn, I didn’t get to this review in time- I just saw this at the library and was, of course!, entranced by the premise, but worried it wasn’t well done. Now I will have to add it to my TBR list and wait. Sounds marvelous.

In reply to Resh. Sorry that The Power didn't work as well for you. I actually do think that was the author's intent. I think that's part of the reason for the title "The Power." Once the women got it, they held the power and learned to use it. The beginning and the end seemed to me to be a reflection on that chaotic time, which hadn't been a shining moment in women's history.
