I don’t know about you, but I feel like 2022 has been an excellent year for books so far. It started out with a bang and some great winter releases, then into spring where April might have been one of the strongest months for new releases in YEARS! Now as spring is winding down, Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and we’re headed into summer books it’s looking like that good 2022 book juju just might continue. June alone looks insane with incredible sounding books, and July and August aren’t bad either. No matter what you might be doing this summer, you’ll want to keep this Summer Preview 2022 handy, so you can put in library requests, Libby holds, or maybe even splurge on a few new books to read on vacation. I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait for summer and vacation season! I don’t even care that much what I’ll be doing. Like the rest of you, I’m just looking forward to that move toward a more normal life. Isn’t it finally starting to feel like we can relax a little? The summer of 2020 is going to be a very different summer, for sure. It’s already the end of May and I have no idea what I’ll be doing when school gets out in a couple weeks. What I don’t want to do is stay home the entire time! Eventually I suppose I’ll figure something out, but the one thing I know I can count on is plenty of summer reading. Whether I’m at home or away books are always my constant companions and that’s even more true in the summer when time is on my side. For many of us spring reading has been tough, really tough.
