Thank goodness for spring and for light! Here in Washington we’ve had some sunshine, but it’s still pretty darn cold. Staying light into the evenings and getting lighter earlier and earlier are always welcome balms to my soul. March has been a busy month, so I’ve not read as many books as usual, but the four favorites I’m sharing today are all books I really liked and feel confident many others will too.

Next month, I’ll be on a trip at the end of the month, so will either do April late or combine it with May in one big post towards the end of May. It depends on how crazy things are when I get home and I suspect they may be crazy. In the meantime, my reviews show up earlier on Instagram. And now, in order of publication……

Novel Visits ~ Winter Preview 2022

I’m always excited for a new year of books and that seems especially true this year. I read a lot of great books in 2021, but I’m ready for that fresh crop. In fact, I’ve already finished five 2022 books, including one that doesn’t release until May. (What can I say? I couldn’t resist.) I’ve found SO many new books to be excited about that I had to move my usual list of 16 preview books up to 20, and even that was a challenge. One thing that you’re not going to find on my Winter Preview 2022 is nonfiction. My success with nonfiction over the last couple of years has been disappointing, so like you, I’ll be looking toward others to help me find the gems this winter. However, if you’re on the hunt for great fiction, I hope you’ll find the perfect books to add to your 2022 stack!…

Can you believe that it’s already Winter Preview time? Ready or not, it is and that means it’s time to take a break from the chaos of the Holiday Season, and turn our attention to the New Year. Come January things will be slower, calmer. The weather will often force us to cancel plans and stay inside for days at a time. Doesn’t that sound perfect right about now? You know what will make it even more perfect? Great books to read! Lucky for all of us that winter is also one of the times of year when great new books are being published at a furious rate. Novel Visits Winter Preview 2019 | More

We’re in the midst of the busiest most crazy time of year, but in a few weeks all that will go away and most of our lives will be slowing down a bit. Snow and rain will be falling, keeping us inside, cozy and warm. For book lovers this is a perfect scenario. Just picture it: a quiet wet day, a fire blazing, a warm cup of coffee or tea, a cozy blanket and a wonderful new book. Could anything be better? Winter marks a season of incredible new releases and I’m excited about spending many, many days with them….
