Greta review and I’m in complete agreement- even about the quotation marks. You know I usually get rabid when they’re missing, but I didn’t mind it so much. Maybe because the book’s pace was slower and the writing so beautiful I was reading carefully?

I love the term “gentle start” and you compared it to Furies!!!!!!!!! I loved that one so much!

Great review Susie! I’m 25% through this and have already cried once!! What amazing writing and you’re right, the lack of quotes doesn’t bother me either. The story flows so well I’m not even missing them. Ellis does remind me of Cyril. I can’t wait to see how the story plays out. Hope the end of the school year is going well for you!
