It’s both hard to believe and a sigh of relief that it’s time for April 2021 Book Reviews. I don’t know about you, but I’m happy this month is nearly over. How has everything been going for you? Are you enjoying some sunshine? Did you get your COVID vaccine? I’m now fully vaccinated (YAY!), and in the final stretch of school with just seven weeks left. It still seems almost unbelievable that I will have taught this entire school year online. I’m a pro at it now! Remodeling of my kitchen has hit a glitch and pretty much nothing is going on as we wait for a backordered sink. On the other hand, the bathroom is moving along. Hopefully by this time next month, both will be finished.

April brought some VERY good books! Of the five I’m sharing today, three are right up there for “the best,” another was also top notch, and the last a bit of a disappointment. February 2021 Audiobook Reviews

In my post last week I mentioned that I’d have audiobook reviews to share this week and I made it! Things are crazy in my life right now. In my work life, about half of the students in my school are headed into a hybrid model and the other half will be staying online for the rest of the year. That means the make up of ALL our classes are changing. Monday will be like a first day of school…in March. It’s crazy, but I’m happy to be one of the teachers who will continue teaching online. On the home front, I’m in the early stages of a remodel and am spending ridiculous lengths of time checking out things online, ordering samples, getting estimates. Needless to say, my reading/listening time has been impacted, but these three audiobooks were each so good that I flew through them. Even better, they’re ALL debuts, so there are three new authors to keep an eye out for!…

January 2021 Mini-Reviews

Though I’ve read a lot of books in January 2021, I haven’t posted a lot of reviews here. My life is crazy right now between work, having the entire inside of the house painted, and getting bids/ideas together for a complete kitchen and bathroom remodel. It’s a lot and something has to give. Unfortunately for now, the blog is where it’s going to happen. I’m committed to keeping up the things I love, like the quarterly previews, “best of” posts, and monthly mini-review posts like this one. I’m going to try to do Monday “My Week in Book” posts a couple times a month, but we’ll see on that one. I AM posting regularly on Instagram @novelvisits. In fact, these end of month mini-reviews are pulled from what I wrote for Instagram. So, if you’re not following me there, I’d love it if you would. Right now, I just have to do the best I can to stay sane! So, onto my January 2021 Mini-Reviews which include FOUR debut novels….
