For most of us the clocks moved forward over the weekend ushering in the unofficial start of spring. I think almost everyone is usually happy to bid winter adieu and this year is certainly no exception. The winter weather has been rough and then there’s everything else going on in the world. Will we ever have a calm, peaceful, healthy, normal world again? I know we all are praying for that in one way or another. In the meantime, books continue to offer a great escape and here, in my Spring Preview 2022, I have some really great books to get lost in. Most are April and May releases, but I HAD to add in one from next week. I hope you find a few to add to your own spring TBR!…

I’m always excited for a new year of books and that seems especially true this year. I read a lot of great books in 2021, but I’m ready for that fresh crop.
I’m always excited for a new year of books and that seems especially true this year. I read a lot of great books in 2021, but I’m ready for that fresh crop. In fact, I’ve already finished five 2022 books, including one that doesn’t release until May. (What can I say? I couldn’t resist.) I’ve found SO many new books to be excited about that I had to move my usual list of 16 preview books up to 20, and even that was a challenge. One thing that you’re not going to find on my Winter Preview 2022 is nonfiction. My success with nonfiction over the last couple of years has been disappointing, so like you, I’ll be looking toward others to help me find the gems this winter. However, if you’re on the hunt for great fiction, I hope you’ll find the perfect books to add to your 2022 stack!…

I don’t think there anyone will be sad to see 2020 come to an end. As a humanity, we all shared in getting through a global pandemic that until last winter seemed more like fiction than reality. Sadly, it was real, but even as we’re in the midst of the worst surge yet, hope is on the horizon. Vaccines are just beginning to roll out and maybe by mid-year life will be getting a little closer to normal. In the meantime we’ll still need to hunker down in out homes this winter and what better way to do it than with a great book? I’ve found SO MANY winter 2021 books that I’m truly excited about, but have manage to cull my list down to the sixteen featured here in my Winter Preview 2021. Enjoy!…

Back in early December I first considered doing this look back post. I went through my old book journals, and narrowed down my options, but guess what? The holidays and life just got in the way and I ran out of time. Big surprise there! So, now I may be a little late, but life is also a little calmer, so I’m finally ready to share my favorite books from each year of the last decade.

Some years choosing a single book was easy, but other years it was a HUGE challenge. So much so, that I’m also going to give you my runner(s)-up for each year. I kept my choices limited to fiction, since I’ve only been seriously reading nonfiction for the last few years. It will be fun to see how many books others loved as much as I did, so let me know what you think….
