It’s officially fall and though fall isn’t usually my favorite season, I’m happy to see it arrive this year. I think any forward movement is good right now! Work days are long and stress is high, and I don’t see that changing for a long time, but keep thinking that eventually it has get easier. Thank goodness for books because now more than ever I feel like they are a balm for my psyche. I’m definitely more picky about what I’ll read, but when I find a book that works, it’s a lovely escape and last week I found two!

Novel Visits ~ Fall Preview 2020

What a year! 2020 isn’t even over yet and it’s already been the most insane year of most of our lives. We still have the entire fall with schools and businesses closed / functioning from homes, possible upticks in cases of COVID-19, plus the entire election season to get through. Will this year ever end?!? I don’t know about you, but one thing that helps me hang onto my sanity is most definitely books. It’s looking like 2020 will be a record year for me in terms of the number of books I’ve read and new fall releases will help further add to my numbers. Today in my Fall Preview 2020 I’m thrilled to be sharing sixteen of the books I’m most looking forward to in the coming months….

Novel Visits 2019 Fall Preview | More

I know summer is in no way officially over, but I head back to work next week, so it’s beginning to feel a lot like fall around here. With the season of falling leaves, Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner my mind can’t help but turn to fall books. Typically fall is a time when publishers release some of their most highly anticipated books and this year is no exception. With luck, the books on this preview will bring me as much success as those on my 2019 Summer Preview. Of the 15 there, eight I loved, including 3 that will easily be in the running for best books of the year, and I only DNF’d 2. Fingers crossed fall releases are just as good. I hope you find a few here to add to your own “to be read” list!…

Novel Visits Fall Preview 2017 | More

A few weeks ago, I was exchanging emails with some other bloggers and we were all feeling like there weren’t as many “hot” books as usual this fall. Now, I’m not so sure because I had a terrible time weeding through the books on my “to be read” list down to something manageable. I’m hoping this means the fall will bring many unexpected surprises in the literary world. Once again, I won’t try to sum up books that I haven’t yet read.
