Can it really be Spring Preview 2021 time already? Why yes, it can! Despite the fact that we’ve been living an alternate reality for more than a year now, time marches on. With that time, there is finally much to be hopeful for on the horizon. Many people have already received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine and many more will get theirs in the near future. Who knows, there may come a day when we miss the forced calm and boredom of lockdown. If nothing else, it gave everyone an opportunity to spend time doing things out of their normal wheelhouse and that’s a good thing. It also has given a lot of us time to read more books and that’s a trend I hope to see continue. When looking ahead to the next couple months, I see many amazing books lining up to be published and am happy be sharing the sixteen I’m most excited about here today….

Novel Visits ~ Fall Preview 2020

What a year! 2020 isn’t even over yet and it’s already been the most insane year of most of our lives. We still have the entire fall with schools and businesses closed / functioning from homes, possible upticks in cases of COVID-19, plus the entire election season to get through. Will this year ever end?!? I don’t know about you, but one thing that helps me hang onto my sanity is most definitely books. It’s looking like 2020 will be a record year for me in terms of the number of books I’ve read and new fall releases will help further add to my numbers. Today in my Fall Preview 2020 I’m thrilled to be sharing sixteen of the books I’m most looking forward to in the coming months….

Novel Visits ~ Spring Preview 2020 | More

If ever there was a spring when we needed to find great books to read this is it. With the coronavirus forcing the entire nation into social distancing and many into all out quarantining, we’re all going to be going a little stir crazy. Getting lost in a book is one of my favorite ways to help time pass more quickly and to forget about the outside world. Two things we’ll all be looking for this spring. My winter reading was something of a mixed bag, starting out strong in January, pretty much flopping in February, but picking back up this month. Here’s to hoping that March trend continues with the sixteen April and May releases I’m highlighting in my Spring Preview 2020. I hope you’ll find wonderful books to help get you through this crazy spring!…

Novel Visits Spring Preview 2019 | More

I don’t know about you, but I am SO over winter! Thank goodness spring is officially only five short days away. As down as I am on winter right now, I do have to admit that my reading was pretty darn good. I read four books that will be in the running for my 2019’s Best Books of the Year list, and three of those were featured on my Winter Preview 2019. I hope the books on my Spring Preview 2019 bring me the same sort of reading pleasure. It’s always tough for me to narrow these lists down and that was especially true of April releases, so today I’m sharing a whopping 18 books to read this spring. Enjoy!…

Novel Visits Winter Preview 2019 | More

We’re in the midst of the busiest most crazy time of year, but in a few weeks all that will go away and most of our lives will be slowing down a bit. Snow and rain will be falling, keeping us inside, cozy and warm. For book lovers this is a perfect scenario. Just picture it: a quiet wet day, a fire blazing, a warm cup of coffee or tea, a cozy blanket and a wonderful new book. Could anything be better? Winter marks a season of incredible new releases and I’m excited about spending many, many days with them….

Novel Visits Summer Preview 2018 | More

There is just something special about the combination of summer and books. For me I think it’s the luxury of time that I just don’t get the rest of the year. My summer doesn’t official begin for another four weeks, but with Memorial Day coming up, I’m mentally already there! My mind is drifting off to that slower, relaxed pace of summer where reading on the front porch for hours happens almost daily. With all that time, I’ll definitely be turning to some backlist books, but I’m also eager to dive into new releases coming out in June, July and August. I shared a few June releases in my Spring Preview 2018, so if you notice a book missing from the June list it’s probably there. Grab your TBR list. You’re going to be adding to it!…

How has your winter reading gone? I feel like mine has been quite successful. I’ve had a few books that I absolutely loved and a few that I couldn’t finish, with a whole lot falling in the “really enjoyed” category. That slumpy feeling was never with me for more than a few days and all that adds up to a victory in my eyes. And now, as the days lengthen and the trees are beginning to bud, it’s time to turn to a wonderful crop of new spring releases. New Books in the Summer of 2017 | More

It would be a perfect world if I could get as much reading done the rest of the year as I do in the summer. Unfortunately, that darn job gets in the way! With the onset of summer, I’m chomping at the bit to dive into all the fantastic new fiction being published.
