Favorite Books of May 2022

May has been a little bit slower of a reading month for me. not in terms of quantity, but in terms of quality. That doesn’t mean I haven’t read some great books, just that there have been some sort of blah ones in the mix. None-the-less I’m happy to share my three favorite books of May today and ma also excited about the MANY fantastic books being released in June. It’s really a hot month for books. I’ve already read several that were on my Summer Preview 2022, which I shared here last week. Audiobooks You’ll Love Listening To! | Review

Hard to believe it’s already the end of September! Time marches on and I’m just beginning to realize I’m actually retired. The first half of the month I was on a trip, so it still felt like summer. Now that I’m home and NOT going to work, it’s a whole new ball game! During the last month or so, I’ve listened to quite a few audiobooks. Most I liked, couple I didn’t, but two rise above the others, falling into that category of “audiobooks you’ll love listening to!”

So, if you’re on the hunt for a great audiobook, read on because these are two I’d highly recommend….

It’s been an interesting year for me and audiobooks. Typically, I have many audiobooks that I just love, but this year that hasn’t quite happened. Instead, I have lots of audiobooks that I really liked. It’s probably just me and my crazy life right now, making it a little harder for me to connect on audio. The last month has been a crazy time for me. First, I was spending a lot of time trying to get ready for the start of this online school year. Then, it actually began and my days have been so much longer than when we’re actually in school. Top that off with ten days of smoky/hazardous air quality where I couldn’t get outside for a walk, and my listening time has suffered! I know I’m not alone in feeling like easy listening is the way to go with audiobooks right now. I often prefer my audiobooks a little on the lighter side, but with COVID-19, quarantines, social distancing, and an uncertain future, right now they’re essential! The two places I most often listen to books are on my commute to work and on walks. The commute is now from my bedroom to my dining room, so that’s gone, but walks have become absolutely essential for maintaining my sanity. DEBUTS – My Favorites of 2019 | More

Debuts. I’ve always loved them and 2019 was no exception. To date, I’ve read 37 debuts this year, making up just over one-third of all my reading. Not every debut is a hit for me, but SO many are. I think authors often have that kernel of a story inside of them for a long time and when it finally bursts out? Magic!
