Wrapping It Up! December 2017 | More

Wow! It’s hard to believe that the end of December is already here and with it the end of 2017. Personally, I’ve had much happiness in the year, but still I’m happy to see 2017 come to an end. I read more books than I expected to in December, though many were 2018 releases, so will be reviewed later. If all goes according to plans, December will be the last wrap up in this format. Starting in January, I plan to make a few changes to provide a more useful monthly summary. I hope the holidays were good to you and that everyone is staying warm!

Sometimes light reading is just the way to go, but a good story is still essential. I’m not generally a fan of chic lit, and yet, I quite thoroughly enjoyed two in a row. Listening on audio added a lot to both stories because the narrators were great. I’ve grown to derive so much pleasure from someone telling me a story. It almost makes me feel like a kid again. If you haven’t tried audio books, you might want to give one of these a shot!…

How can it already be the last day of July? The summer is just flying by! Every year I make a list of things that need to get accomplished over the summer. Nothing big, but things like have the trees trimmed, find someone to detail my car, etc. This year there were eight items on my list and I’ve only done two of them. Time to get serious! I blame my lack of accomplishment on books. The draw of a cozy seat on my porch, reading a book is just too strong!
